In One Piece Episode 31, Luffy and Sanji discover from a frightened Yosaku that Nami has gone to confront the notorious fish-man Arlong to claim his 20 million bounty. Despite this revelation, Sanji is tasked with cooking a meal while they prepare to pursue Nami.

Inside, Arlong is seen making a corrupt deal with a Navy officer, while Nami is welcomed back by the Arlong Pirates. At the same time, Johnny, Usopp, and Zoro arrive and spot their ship, the Going Merry. When Zoro is captured by the fish-men and brought before Arlong, he’s stunned to see Nami reveal a tattoo of the Arlong Pirates’ logo, indicating her allegiance to them.
